PHS Drumline Team 2nd at State Finals

03/18/14 This past weekend, the Plymouth Winter Drumline competed in the Indiana Percussion Association’s State Prelims and State Finals events at Avon H.S. Going into the preliminary event, Plymouth High Sschool was ranked #1 in the state.  The drumline did qualify for the state finals placing 2nd in Class B by only 2 tenths of a point to Shortridge Magnet School in Indianapolis.   There was nearly a six point gap between the top two groups and third place. At the evening state championships, the drumline gave an even stronger performance and finished in 2nd place.  PHS was named the state champion runner-up and silver medalist. This is the fourth consecutive year the drumline has advanced to the state finals competition, but this is the highest placing the team has ever received.  Congratulations to our students and staff on another successful season.
